Dr. Charles Murphy, a native of Ocean City, NJ, graduated from Ocean City High School before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Dartmouth College in 1980. He continued his medical education at the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating in 1984, and completed a surgical residency at Frankford Hospital in Philadelphia.
In 1987, Dr. Murphy opened his private practice in Linwood, NJ, where he has been providing expert podiatric care ever since. He is affiliated with Shore Medical Center and Access Surgicenter in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
Dr. Murphy achieved Board Certification in Foot Surgery through the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in 1994, demonstrating his expertise in advanced surgical procedures. He maintains his certification through rigorous recertification every ten years. His specialties include ESWT treatment for heel pain and arthrodesis, a surgical correction for flat feet.
As an active member of the APMA and the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society, Dr. Murphy stays at the forefront of his field by attending conferences and continuing education programs.
Outside of work, Dr. Murphy enjoys the Jersey Shore, boating, and taking long walks with his Golden Retriever. He also loves traveling, visiting his children in college, and cheering for his beloved Philly sports teams.
